GTA 6 on PC release date is early 2027 claims new report

| Games News Writer Published October 13, 2026 4:06pm Updated October 13, 2026 4:06pm Just over a month to go (Rockstar) Rockstar will launch the PC version of GTA 6 early next year according to sources, in what could be the quickest PC release of the series. GTA 6’s launch date of November 19, 2026 has been seared into the cultural landscape for months now, scaring off other games around it, but we’re still in the dark when it comes to the inevitable PC version. In the past, Rockstar has launched a PC version of its new games, including Red Dead Redemption, several months after they first appeared on consoles. In the case of GTA 5, the PC version arrived over a year later, in April 2015, following its original launch in September 2013 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. GTA 4, meanwhile, arrived on PC eight months later, in December 2008. Rockstar hasn’t officially announced a PC version of GTA 6 but it’s widely expected – and now, it seems like we have an idea of when it will arrive. According to GamesBeat, the PC version of GTA 6 will launch in the first quarter of 2027, aka within the first three months. The outlet cites ‘four industry sources familiar with the studio’s plans, all of whom requested anonymity to avoid damaging business relationships’. If true, this would be the shortest interim between the console and PC launch of any 3D GTA game (GTA 2 launched simultaneously on PC and PlayStation in 1999). It makes sense too, considering PC gaming has only grown in popularity over the years since GTA 5’s launch. Want GTA 6 news? While there’s no mention of GTA Online, it would make sense for Rockstar to launch GTA 6’s multiplayer alongside the PC version. Earlier this year, Twitch’s chief executive officer Dan Clancy stated GTA 6 Online will arrive sometime in 2027. Rockstar will likely stay quiet on both the PC launch, and the online aspect, until after GTA 6 launches across PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026. So as not to put anyone off buying the console versions. For now, Rockstar’s biggest issue might be the return of Cyberleek, who has been posting more clips online seemingly of the game in action ahead of time. It’s possible they may even have an early PC version of the game, since you’d typically need a devkit to run a pre-launch console version. Although everything connected with Cyberleek continues to be a mystery, with no indication of who they are or where they got a copy of the game from (or why they don’t fear Rockstar’s lawyers).
