Sign in to your TheGamer account Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks have been flooding social media lately, and it seems like every day that passes, the situation gets worse for Rockstar and Take-Two. It started out with a short snippet of simple gameplay footage, and then escalated to minute-long videos that revealed gameplay features and items, and now we know that the leaker in question is playing a full build of the game. It's a pretty disastrous leak on a scale that we've not seen before for a game of GTA 6's size. It's all anyone can talk about right now, and the leaker is more than happy to goad Rockstar and Take-Two with what they have, and unsurprisingly, all the drama is now starting to have an effect on Take-Two as a business overall. Take-Two's Stock Price Has Tanked Thanks To The GTA 6 Leaks Screenshot provided by Rockstar First reported by Insider Gaming, all the leaks and the main data breach have resulted in a pretty drastic stock price drop for Take-Two, going from $248.13 before the leaks, to $232.84. That's a pretty whopping drop of $15.29, which has resulted in a value loss of almost $3 billion, or $2.83 billion to be exact. That could have changed recently, as the stock market can fluctuate wildly, but it did happen regardless. While it probably won't impact Take-Two that badly, especially since its most recent quarter has been and gone — and the fact that Take-Two’s company market cap is still over $43 billion — a loss of almost $billion in value is still pretty huge, and Take-Two is undoubtedly feeling the pressure to get control of these leaks before more damage is done. It's been pretty much confirmed that the recent leaks are fairly recent, and that the leaker has a build of the game in their possession, so if that were to be released somewhere on the Internet, there's really no telling how much damage it could do. It's no longer a case of waiting until the gameplay demonstration, as Take Two and Rockstar will be praying that the damage is minimal until the game's release.
