Sign in to your TheGamer account It’s now been more than 24 hours since Grand Theft Auto 6’s hacker shared any leaked footage, which might mean they’ve been caught by Rockstar. GTA 6 is unarguably the most-anticipated video game of all time, and something that Rockstar and Take-Two have been keeping very close to their chests. As we all know by now, Rockstar marches to the beat of its own drum and only shares official updates on GTA 6 when it feels like the time is right, such as with the upcoming Extended Look on August 27. That all changed earlier this week when a hacker group known as Cyberleek suddenly leaked gameplay footage from GTA 6 as a protest against the lack of a physical release. Cyberleek has shared new and more detailed leaks every day since then, but that streak has come to a noticeable end. It’s Been More Than 24 Hours Since The Last GTA 6 Leak Cyberleek’s Website Went Back Online Recently, But That’s It Yesterday’s GTA 6 leak was perhaps the biggest so far, as it not only showed us an aerial view of Leonida, but also suggested that Cyberleek has their own build of the game, potentially opening up the door for proper spoilers. Everyone’s been nervous to see what could possibly be shown next, but it looks like things might have ended. As pointed out by Twitter user gtasix_, it’s officially been more than 24 hours since Cyberleek shared the last leaked footage of GTA 6. Considering the hacker group has shared footage every day this week until now and has been vocal about releasing more, their silence does suggest that something has happened. Considering GTAForums user Vice Cit was able to dive into Cyberleek’s currency and figure out how much they’ve made from polling fans and donations, it’s possible that Rockstar and Take-Two have managed to do the same and figure out who’s behind the hack. Neither studio has released a statement regarding the leaks, so it’s a little tough to know where they’re at with it all. If Cyberleek has been caught, it’s good news for anyone wanting to avoid GTA 6 spoilers, as it started to look like much more could be shown off. It’s also possible that the hacker group is preparing a much bigger leak than anything we’ve seen before, but the silence certainly suggests the leak saga has come to a close.
