Sign in to your TheGamer account If you cast your mind back to a little under a month ago, you'll remember that social media was swept up in GTA 6 fever, after a now infamous leaker started sharing legitimate footage of the game before Rockstar's big reveal on Netflix. One of these clips was a lot more risqué than the others though, as it featured Jason roaming around at a party full of naked people at a nudist park. While surprising, it's not out of the ordinary for Grand Theft Auto, and fans were quick to try and see if there was a real life equivalent in Florida, the state which inspired GTA 6's Leonida. While it hasn't been confirmed, fans do believe they've found the nudist resort that Rockstar was referencing, that being a place called Cypress Cove Nudist Resort (don't click that link in public) in Kissimmee. If that was the end of the story, it would be a fun little piece of trivia we could maybe point to down the line, but because a certain subsection of the GTA 6 community is unhinged, it didn't stay fun for long. Rockstar First reported by GamesRadar (thanks Kotaku), if you head on over to the Google Reviews for Cypress Cove Nudist Resort and sort by the most recent, you'll notice that there are about half a dozen reviews that reference GTA 6 in some way. For example, a review left by a user called For Neb reads "I will be playing GTA 6 for 3 days straight while nude in my RV." Then you have more problematic reviews, such as the one left by a user called Jake Croucher which reads "Had a great time until a man pulled out his binoculars." Obviously, a seemingly legitimate review like that left on a nudist resort's Google page is absolutely atrocious for business, especially when these kinds of places are frequented by older people who will have no clue it's a GTA 6 leak reference. To try and combat this, the owner of the nudist resort has started responding to these types of reviews with a massive disclaimer, as well as claims that some are asking for money from the resort to have their review removed. "These reviews appear to be part of a coordinated series of fabricated posts using GTA VI references and attaching them to our actual business. They were then followed by a request that we PAY MONEY to have the reviews changed or removed. We will not pay. We will not negotiate. We have documented the reviews and the request for payment. This activity is being reported through the appropriate channels. For our actual guests and anyone researching Cypress Cove: please understand that these posts do not describe genuine guest experiences at our resort." It's an absolutely bizarre situation that this random nudist resort finds itself in, and hopefully the reviews won't impact business all that much, and the whole thing blows over once GTA 6 has actually released.
