Published October 30, 2026 08:45 AM The Seahawks hope their trade for Quenton Nelson will have an impact on their entire offense over the rest of the season and it will have an immediate impact on two of his new teammates. Anthony Bradford is heading to the bench because the team is moving Grey Zabel from left guard to right guard to allow Nelson to remain in the position he’s played for his entire NFL career. On Thursday, Zabel admitted to “a lot of emotions” about the change but said that the prevailing one is that it will allow him to grow as a player. “At the end of the day, I’ll do whatever’s best for the team,” Zabel said, via the team’s website. “Get to learn from an unbelievable player, person, leader, as Q is. And at the end of the day, it’s going to be such a growing experience for me, kind of move positions as well as be able to learn from a guy like that. And at the end of the day, just become a better football player.”Picking up the nuances of a different position in a couple of days isn’t the easiest of asks, but Zabel will have to do it and he could be there for a while. Nelson’s in the final year of his contract and a new deal with the Seahawks will leave the right side as Zabel’s domain for quite some time.
