Goodwin leaves hospital but still absent from Dundee Utd role

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin has been released from hospital after a health scare but it remains unclear when he will resume his duties.Goodwin, 44, missed United's 4-0 Scottish Premiership win at Kilmarnock on Saturday after taking ill and being admitted to hospital last Thursday.Assistant Lee Sharp took the team at Rugby Park, and will do so again for United's midweek trip to play Motherwell amid the Irishman's continued absence."He is out of hospital, he is back home recovering," Sharp said of Goodwin. "He is waiting on direction from the doctors etc to where he goes from there."Asked if there was any indication when Goodwin would return, Sharp replied: "No. He would be back just now if he was allowed. We are in constant dialogue so he will let me know as soon as."In Goodwin's absence, it remains business as usual at United, with the club closing on a move to bring former Dundee midfielder Lyall Cameron to Tannadice on loan from Rangers.
