Ghosts season 6 will be welcoming back a missing fan-favorite character during the CBS hit's milestone episode, properly helping the series to celebrate a tremendous feat. Although Ghosts season 6 isn't set to air until 2027, with the show returning in the mid-season much to audience chagrin, the CBS hit will make up for its late premiere with an exciting addition to the show's 100th episode. Blending the show's tongue-in-cheek sense of humor with some exciting nods to the fans, Ghosts will be bringing its milestone episode to life early in the season. When co-showrunner Joe Wiseman took the stage at NYCC along with the show's stars, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Rebecca Wisocky, Sheila Carrasco, and Devan Chandler Long, they revealed a fan-favorite cast member would be part of the celebration. Sharing that Matt Walsh will be returning to Ghosts season 6 as Elias Woodstone (via Collider), the show's iconic 100th episode will be even more memorable than anticipated. Walsh's Elias has been a recurring character throughout the series, and though he's only been in an episode per season, his presence looms large with Elias' ex-wife Hetty (Rebecca Wisocky) a permanent fixture on the show. Having become more of a demonic, evil spirit as the series has gone on, it'll be interesting to see what Elias brings to the Ghosts 100th episode celebration. According to their NYCC panel, Ghosts won't only just be welcoming Walsh back to the series for its big milestone celebration, it'll be bringing a different type of icon to the series. With the series crossing such a rare milestone, Ghosts will also be getting meta with its big episode, which will center around the spirits' favorite reality TV show, "It's Getting Hot in Here", which will be filming an episode in the manor. Keeping with the theme of reality TV, Ghosts will welcome Survivor legend Parvati Shallow as a guest star, playing the host of a Love Island-inspired series. MovieStillsDB While the bulk of Ghosts season 6's major milestone episode won't be revealed ahead of time, the reveals of Walsh and Shallow appearing on the series for the 100th gives an exciting tease of what's to come. Though Ghosts season 6 won't start officially airing until early 2027, viewers won't have to wait until the new year to get a look at what's happening in Woodstone Manor. The series will be airing two holiday-centric specials, one later this month and another in December, to bridge the gap between seasons and keep things festive at the same time. Though Ghosts season 6 is still months away, the 100th episode is going to be well worth the wait.
