Sophie Kasaie has made a heartbreaking confession about the darkest days of her relationship with Jordan Brooks – revealing there was a point she genuinely feared the TOWIE star wouldn’t make it. The star has now lifted the lid on the lonely nights she says left her fearing the worst, all while carrying on with her own life-changing journey. In an exclusive chat, Sophie admits: “There were times I’d go home on my own, heavily pregnant, going to an empty house, not knowing if Jordan was ever going to make it. “That was really, really hard. And there were points where I’d stand in the baby’s nursery and I’d look and think, this could just be me and my son in this house, figuring life out together.” It’s a devastating admission from a woman who, on screen, has always played the strong one – but Sophie insists the reality behind the cameras was far tougher than viewers realised, with Jordan’s family rallying round while she juggled her own pregnancy and his recovery virtually alone. Jordan’s devastating illness struck at one of the most pressure-filled points imaginable – right in the middle of the couple’s fertility journey, which fans have watched unfold on screen. His condition was diagnosed as meningitis. “Jordan was very, very unwell,” she says. “So yes, we went through that. But we just got through it and at the end of it all, we were given this amazing miracle.” Even now, months on and with Brody safely here, Sophie says Jordan is “doing great” but stresses he’s “not out of it all yet.” The couple are now considering professional support to help him process what happened. “It’s a process and we’re maybe looking to get Jordan some help, a little bit of aftercare after everything, because that’s 100 per cent going to leave a psychological effect on someone who’s gone through something so traumatic,” she explains. Asked directly whether counselling – and possibly help for PTSD – could be on the cards, Sophie doesn’t hesitate: “Of course. Look, men sometimes don’t like to talk about it, but something that keeps him going is Brody. And that baby is everything to Jordan. And I really do think that probably got him through what he went through.” Despite everything, Sophie and Jordan’s bond has clearly only strengthened through the ordeal, with their fertility struggles and his health scare forging a partnership rooted in resilience rather than ease. She’s full of praise for his family too, particularly for stepping in when she needed it most, even as she juggled her own exhaustion and grief in Essex, far from her own family and friends back in Newcastle. Now, though, the focus is firmly on their “golden boy.” Sophie can’t hide how much becoming a mum has changed her. She beamed: “Because I’ve waited so long for this moment to have my baby, I feel like I can finally be me. For the first time in a long time, I’m starting to feel like there’s not as much stress and pressure. I’ve got everything I’ve ever wanted. I feel like I’m on cloud nine.” She’s refreshingly honest about the less glamorous side of new motherhood too. Sleep, she says, barely exists. It’s obviously like being back in Geordie Shore – you’re just running on nothing. But you’re so happy,” she laughs, dismissing the old wives’ tale about napping when the baby naps. “You’ve got a million other things to do – sterilising bottles, getting things ready for the baby.” Even travelling is a military operation these days, with trips up to Newcastle to see her family on hold for now. Sophie said: “You can’t go in a car seat longer than 45 minutes, and you’ve got to give breaks. So Newcastle’s a very long journey. I’m not ready to sit in the car for eight hours!” On her post-baby body, Sophie is similarly unfiltered. She had a C-section and admits she’s noticed changes, “a little bit of an overhang or whatever,” but insists it’s the last thing on her mind right now: “I don’t care. I had a baby and I grew that beautiful boy and I’m so blessed.” She has squeezed in a quick Botox appointment between filming TOWIE, but promises that once things settle into a routine, she’ll get back to Pilates and paying more attention to her diet – “at the minute I’m running on adrenaline and I’ll be honest, I’m probably not eating enough.” Looking ahead, Sophie hasn’t ruled out expanding their family further, though she’s wary of putting herself under pressure again so soon. The star confessed: “I don’t know what my body’s going to decide to do, but I know the right steps to take to get that baby.
