Gemini app adding Google Wallet integration for ‘personalized insights’

The latest Gemini Connected App is Google Wallet for “information and personalized insights based on your saved info.” Once this integration is enabled, you can “get info from passes, such as loyalty cards, event tickets, and boarding passes.” Prompts include: Find the boarding pass for my flight to Chicago. Show me my airline loyalty numbers. Other capabilities include: Provide insights based on transaction data from financial accounts you’ve linked with services like Plaid Summarize expense activity and get budgeting tips Check and summarize available rewards and special offers based on cards and passes in Google Wallet The Plaid integration dates back to the Google Pay app and is only available in the US. This lets you ask prompts like: “How much did I spend on groceries last month?” The Google Wallet Connected App cannot: Make transactions using payment methods in your Google Wallet. Update or delete connected financial accounts. Once rolled out for your account, @Google Wallet will work in the prompt box. It will also appear in the Connected Apps list for you to enable. At the moment, this integration is only available in the US on personal Google Accounts. We’re not seeing this widely rolled out yet.
