GCC 13.5 Released With 265+ Bug Fixes

For those continuing to rely on the GCC 13 compiler in production that debuted more than three years ago, GCC 13.5 released today with more than 265 bug fixes. GCC 13.5 also caps off the GCC 13 series as the last planned point release. The GCC 13 branch is now closed for any further development with users encouraged to move to newer GNU Compiler Collection versions -- GCC 16 that debuted earlier this year being the latest stable version until next year's GCC 17. When GCC 13 stable debuted back in April 2023 it was great for its time in introducing AMD Zen 4 "znver4" support, many new Intel CPU targets, Modula-2 language support as a new front-end, more C23 and C++23 features, and a lot of other enhancements. It's been over one year since the GCC 13.4 point release and in that time more than 265 different bug fixes have been collected for GCC 13.5 affecting various aspects of this GNU compiler, granted many of the bugs are low impact.
