GATE 2027 registration postponed again, IIT Madras says applications to start soon

IIT Madras has again delayed the opening of GATE 2027 registration, with the GOAPS link still inactive. It also states that online registration will “start soon”, without specifying a fresh date for the launch of applications.IIT Madras had initially scheduled GATE 2027 registration to begin on August 14. On August 13, the institute announced that the registration process had been rescheduled to August 27. The latest update marks another delay in the application schedule.GATE 2027 REGISTRATION: WHAT CANDIDATES NEED TO KNOWWhile the opening date is yet to be announced, IIT Madras has revised the deadlines for GATE 2027 applications. The last date for regular registration without a late fee is now September 27, 2026. Candidates will be able to submit applications with a late fee until October 5, 2026. The application rectification window is scheduled to open on October 14 and close on October 21, 2026.Candidates are advised to keep checking the official GATE 2027 website for the revised registration date and further instructions. As a first, IIT Madras has introduced DigiLocker-based verification for GATE 2027. Registration through DigiLocker is mandatory for all Indian nationals, and candidates have been advised to create or update their verified DigiLocker accounts before beginning the application process.The GATE 2027 website has also introduced a new paper in Robotics and Automation. The exam will have 30 test papers in total.GATE 2027 EXAM DATESThe GATE 2027 examination is scheduled to be conducted on February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21, 2027.
