Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) has made it his mission to free Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) from prison, but his plan would have come at great cost to Gary. Sarah is currently behind bars after being arrested for Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) murder. However, Kit was well aware that Gary was involved, and knew that Sarah’s only chance at a lighter sentence would be to get Gary to confess that he had encouraged her not to go to the police immediately, so that her self-defence argument would stand up in court. Unfortunately, tonight’s episode saw Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) let this plan slip to Sarah, and she wasted no time in reprimanding Kit on the phone, demanding in a coded message that he drop it. As frustrated as he was, Kit chose to respect Sarah’s wishes, and told Bethany that he was going to call Gary and let him know the good news. The guilt eventually became too much for Sarah (Picture: ITV) Kit wanted to frame Gary (Picture: ITV) What he didn’t know, however, was that Gary had already sought legal advice from Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), who warned him that his best option may be to come clean. Though Kit tried to get through to Gary, it was too late, as he had already taken himself down to the police station to ‘tell the truth’. But what will he say? Will he do what Kit had asked of him to save Sarah? Or could he bet set to drop Kit in it too?
