Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 Updates: All Reveals & Announcements

Humankind 2 is coming next year. 1:48PM - The developers of Disney: Illusion Island are back with a new game called Murals, which also has a lot of classic cartoon style despite the lack of Disney branding this time around. 1:46PM - We're getting a new look at the first-person Soulslike Valor Mortis. It's a showcase staple at this point, but it still looks cool. Coming October 13. 1:45PM - A reveal trailer for Acornia: Mirror Worlds, a 2027 game from the developers of Tinykin. 1:44PM - The next two trailers are for Chinese RPG Genigods: Nezha and indie horror game Perceptum. 1:40PM - Creature-catching MMO Aniimo just showed off a September release date, for those who want to play something like Pokémon in a live-service format. 1:38PM - Train Sim World 7 got a quick reveal, and if you like sim games, the next is the big one. RollerCoaster Tycoon is returning as RollerCoaster Tycoon Wonderworks in a classic isometric style. 1:36PM - Worms: Galactic Tactics was just revealed, showing off a grid-based tactical riff on the mayhem-filled franchise. The end of the trailer also teased another Worms game, which is presumably in the more typical fashion. 1:35PM - The pre-show is now live! It's kicking off with something from the Worms franchise. 1:25PM, Ben - Gamescom is kicking off its 2026 event with Opening Night Live, and the pre-show in just a few minutes. This year, Gamescom Opening Night Live is confirmed to feature some heavy hitters, like The Witcher 3: Songs of the Past, Final Fantasy 7: Revelation, and Gears of War: E-Day. Throw in the inevitability of some surprises, and it's definitely worth paying attention to.
