The Duskbloods – supposedly a 2026 release (Nintendo) The Tuesday letters page wants to know if The Duskbloods has been delayed or not, as a reader has some advice for Activision and Call Of Duty. Games Inbox is a collection of our readers’ letters, comments, and opinions. To join in with the discussions yourself email gamecentral@metro.co.uk Out for bloodSaw the reader talking about how the 2026 releases are starting to dry up now, with Phantom Blade Zero being the last big one before Zelda and GTA 6. Or at least it was until I realised Nintendo still hasn’t announced a release date for The Duskbloods. We all know how weird Nintendo can be, and how they’re being extra weird this generation, but what is going on? Is it delayed or not? If it is delayed why won’t they just say and if it isn’t delayed what on earth are they waiting for? Zelda: Ocarina Of Time might not compete too closely with GTA 6 but The Duskbloods is likely to have a lot more crossover of fans, and nobody is going to skip GTA 6 to play that, if they both come out at the same time. Or maybe it’s not Nintendo at all. Maybe it’s FromSoftware being odd, because they still haven’t announced their next multiformat game and we have basically no idea what they’re doing at the moment. Apart from anything, announce it before it gets leaked via some badly edited video or something.Korbie Want GTA 6 news? Call of changeActivision are so desperate for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 to be a hit I almost feel sorry for them. Like you said, there’s been no time to make any changes based on Black Ops 7, so all they can do is stuff like DMZ early access, as if that’s going to move the needle on anything. I don’t think it’s possible for a Call Of Duty game to be a flop at this point but the slow move towards that happening feels like its well on its way. In my opinion, the only thing that can save Call Of Duty now is big new ideas. Not messing around with existing ones or adding a few new modes or whatever, but actually exciting new ideas. Call Of Duty used to be the trendsetter but it’s very far from that now. If Activision recognise it needs that level of change they can be on top again, but I don’t think they’ve got in them.Focus Big GOTY energyJust finished Big Walk and I have to say it’s a fantastic experience. It really is like nothing else I’ve ever played (and I’ve been gaming since the late ‘80s). The puzzles are incredibly clever and the proximity chat works so well. The ending, which I won’t spoil here, is also brilliant and something I’ll remember for a long time. I’d be shocked if it doesn’t end up being my game of 2026!drlowdon Email your comments to: gamecentral@metro.co.uk Repair shopI’m trying to get my PlayStation 3 repaired and I wondered if GC or any readers know where would be the best place to send it, or are any GC readers capable of doing this? I took it apart for a deep clean, hoping that might solve the issue, but sadly not. I’ve sent it to TechCentre and they are unable to repair it (at least they are no fix, no fee, so only cost time), so I’m looking for another option. Any recommendations, or readers that can repair it would be greatly appreciated. I’m happy to pay to have it fixed, as I’d like to retain the save data, buying another PlayStation 3 is an option, but not ideal. All because Sony are shutting the PlayStation 3 store and I’d like to get a few games that will disappear when they do. Annoying. Why did Sony create a new store for PlayStation 4 onwards anyway? Thanks in advance.Beastiebat (PSN ID) Don't miss Gaming news! Even big apps like Photoshop are getting decompiled and cloned now, basically destroying the company’s way of making money and I’m sure that’s already starting to happen for games. Imagine any game being deconstructed and pirated within minutes. Then anyone being able to make mods for it, to add whatever they want. Sounds good until you realise that means publishers can’t make as much money anymore. Which means they also can’t afford to make any new games either. Something big has got to change about all this or we’re in real trouble.Tricky Big businessOrigin Systems… now there’s a name I have not heard in a very long time. Younger gamers won’t have heard of it at all, because they got bought by EA, and for what? Not a single proper Ultima or Wing Commander game since they bought them, so what was the point? Probably interest in Ultima Online, but they didn’t do anything with that either or make their own MMO. I’d laugh at the fact that EA is already defaulting on their loans, just months after the buyout, but it’s not funny because all that’s going to mean is even more people getting laid off. I doubt it’ll even affect the exec’s Christmas bonus, let alone their main pay packet. I’m not sure I can think of a single time a big company buying a little one worked out for anyone. I guess maybe there’s a few smaller developers that Nintendo has bought, which turned out well, but that’s not exactly comparable to what companies like EA and Microsoft do. They just buy these other, much larger developers or small publishers, who were perfectly okay on their own, and destroy them. I’m not sure if one was ever as badly treated as Origin but they all end up getting shut down sooner or later. Looking on the bright side though, I’d love ifs Richard Garriott did get to make a big, or even medium-sized, new Ultima. Although I don’t know what a modern version would even look. Probably something purposefully retro, although that’s not as interesting to me.Birdman Banana feverI have to say, reading that Big Boy Bent bought and is enjoying Donkey Kong Bananza, especially after I suggested he give it a go, brought a warm glow to my heart when I read his letter on Monday morning. Although he has turned my world upside down, I always thought it was, ‘Oooh Banana!’ not ‘Oh Banana!’PjDonnelli GC: It literally says ‘Oh, Banana!’ on-screen. Spoiler freeIt’s scary to think that Cyberleek can threaten a massive corporation like Rockstar Games. The logical way to avoid any spoilers is to avoid all news that seem threatening in any way. If you really wanted to avoid anything just go to websites like GameCentral, that can be trusted to only give official information or prior disclaimers regarding an article. I agree that a disc version of the game is future proofing your purchase of the title and that it’s always nice to have on your shelf, to show off or feel good about it! Though I think gamers will need to make peace with their own mind soon, as non-disc releases will become the norm and digital-only gaming will be the future normal. Still, graphically, from what I’ve seen, GTA 6 is definitely stunning, which brings me to the new Hellraiser game and very pleasant to see that it seems the devs have come close to nailing this pretty nicely. I am quite used to classic movie tie-ins not always hitting the mark, as with a lot of hit and miss Lovecraftian horror titles. If Resident Evil Village is a comparable title to Hellraiser, than that’s not a bad comparison. Resi Village was not perfect and I’d give that a seven also! The first part of the game, up to and including the doll and mutant baby house, was awesome. After that, with the factory level etc., it was not quite as compelling, even though ultimately the story and ending were very well done. Resident Evil Requiem was an absolute blast for the majority of the game, but the absolute ending was very anticlimactic. Will definitely check out Hellraiser and hopefully, though not expecting the best, get a decent 10 hours from it and re-see the films at a later date. Always like a good horror title, being a big fan of indie horror gaming, plus a nice Halloween title to experience during the horror season. So, basically, I’ll ignore the threats of GTA 6 leaks by playing a fairly solid Hellraiser title and just wait for the spoiler free reviews from GameCentral and other official gaming websites and magazines.Alucard GC: The funny thing about Cyberleek is they’ve never leaked anything of any substance, although we think that’s more by luck than judgement. Inbox also-ransI had never heard of Ratatan until this moment but an unofficial Patapon sequel by the original creator sounds great to me, and it’s on Switch 1!Bcooper Not that anything Cyberleek does makes much sense but what’s with all the nudity? Is there even going to be any in the game officially, outside the odd sex scene or visit to a strip club? I imagine not, so why focus on it so much? Is this guy 12 or something?Hastings Email your comments to: gamecentral@metro.co.uk The small printNew Inbox updates appear every weekday morning, with special Hot Topic Inboxes at the weekend.
