He then raged: “When it comes down to the fitness industry at the minute, it’s just p***ing me off if I’m totally honest. “I get that there’s loads of kids out there, 18, 19, that want to do PT and online coaching. He added: “When a lot of people are saying these crazy hooks just to get people in, saying the most outlandish things just to get views, just to be different, its just hurting the actual fitness industry itself”. Alex took fire at so-called fitness professionals who have been “demonising food and scaring people”. Most read in Showbiz The strapline for his firm is “pursuit of progress” with the bio: “Built for busy men who want results. Fat loss. Muscle. Accountability”. As he continued to call out fitness influencers who he suggested may have little to no qualifications and are centred on wow statements as opposed to facts, Alex added: “At the end of the day, I’ve been training since I was 15 years old, I’m 35 now. “I’ve been training for a long time, I was PT-ing before I went on Love Island obviously then I went to scaffolding and did my stuff over the past how many years, then I wanted to get back into online coaching. “And I will continue to do it. “But what I wont do is lower myself to make these crazy hooks, these videos chatting a load of waffle just to then get leads in and get more views and recognised more”. He told fans that despite his huge Love Island following and engagement on his personal social media posts, the traction on his business uploads was “not great”. Alex added: “I just want to train people. I want to get people in shape because it’s something I like doing and I’m not going to lower myself to say this f**king s**t”. He then teased another “secret passion” running alongside his fitness which he said he would reveal in due course. After uploading the lengthy clip, Alex’s followers were quick to support him. One wrote: “Completely agree bro”. Another put: “This it’s so so true! It doesn’t tend to be about the actual coaching anymore and the quality of coaching, but more about the content instead and if you can go viral or not”. A third then put: “Absolutely It’s making getting fit feel SO overwhelming. I’m a year and a half into my journey and have had to unfollow and block so many fitness accounts. Everyone is contradicting each other or trying to go viral it’s just exhausting”. Comment now
