Every Kinetic Publishing Game Releasing In 2027 The title you can expect to see first from Kinetic Publishing comes in the form of the starship job simulator Contact Protocol, which sees you attempting to manage and assess any threats that you come across while trying to keep your ship and its crew alive. Taking place in a sci-fi dystopian setting, the indie game will see you swapping between talking to characters, gathering information, and assessing your devices quickly to succeed. Setting off for the stars in Spring 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series S|X, Switch 2, and PC, Control Protocol is also followed closely behind Electric Saint's crowdfunded release of Crescent Country, which will offer a far more uplifting cozy adventure when it drops in Summer on PC and Xbox Series S|X. Taking place in a much more whimsical setting, Crescent Country offers a sci-fi fantasy following a young witch making deliveries on her broomstick hoverbike with an emphasis on character relationships, both platonic and romantic. Kinetic Publishing Has Even More Games Slated For 2028 While the rest of Kinetic Publishing's releases are a bit further out towards 2028, that doesn't make them any less exciting, with the first being the 2D Metroidvania Spellbound. With the entire world taking place on the body of a gigantic snail, Spellbound's setting also has a similarly unique gameplay premise of its protagonist using parasitic abilities to take over the bodies of enemies and their abilities during combat and platforming. With Spellbound set to release in Summer 2028 for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC, players will be able to hop into the magical world of Aether Wizard Life not long after, in August. Offering a mix of RPG combat, platforming, town building, and relationship mechanics, Aether Wizard Life has a wide variety of mechanical depth for players to experience through its art style inspired by Studio Ghibli's work when it drops for the same systems as Spellbound. The last game announced in Kinetic Publishing's showcase is certainly one of its strangest, with the announcement of Precognition being a sci-fi horror thriller that is completely made using live-action footage cut together by your own decisions.
