Friends Swap Ugly Pants At The Airport—Then One Man Walks Out With An Elephant Trunk

A group of friends turned an airport gate into an ugly pants fashion show. Each man reveals an outfit, then walks through the concourse wearing it while the others lose it. The first guy gets a green tartan kilt. By the time the elephant pants come out, the kilt looks like the ideal travel choice. The video looks to me like it’s from the Washington National on the C concourse. There’s a pair of pants with bright diamond panels. There are black sequins with enormous shaggy legs. There’s pink fabric stacked into ruffles, denim that’s mostly missing, and a final pair that seems to have been assembled from the pieces other pants manufacturers throw away. Then there are the light blue elephant pants, complete with ears and a trunk. The man receiving them is already laughing before he puts them on. He models them through the concourse anyway. Washington National Airport Airports have done actual fashion shows. Helsinki put one on a runway with Finnair, while this group managed with the space outside Starbucks. While I’m fine with an airport fashion show like this (keep the walkway open, keep the volume down), clothes can become an issue at the gate. I recently wrote about a United passenger who said she was removed over a New York souvenir t-shirt. The elephant’s trunk is less of a problem. (HT: @crucker) Topics on this page
