Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch’s Total Pay Declines To $31M In Fiscal 2026 From $33M In Prior Year

Fox Corp. CEO Lachlan Murdoch‘s total compensation in fiscal 2026 fell to $31 million, from $33 million in the prior year. The pay figures for Murdoch and other execs were disclosed in an SEC filing on Thursday. Murdoch, who was reaffirmed last September as the heir to Rupert Murdoch’s media empire in a settlement reached in a Nevada court case involving the mogul and his four eldest children, made a base salary of $3 million. The remainder of his compensation came from a bonus, stock and option awards, non-equity incentive plan compensation and other sources. President and COO John Nallen was the next-highest paid exec last fiscal year, taking home $18.1 million, up from $15.3 million in fiscal 2025. Watch on Deadline Fox has been a well-oiled machine in recent quarters, with high-demand programming like sports and news helping offset declines in linear viewing. Shares in the company have slid 11% in 2026 to date, largely due to broader uncertainty about the media business. After initially staying on the sidelines during the streaming wars, the company under Murdoch’s direction last August launched subscription streamer Fox One, a complement to fast-growing free outlet Tubi. The company has also made forays into podcasting and the creator space, and last June placed a big bet on the strategy of owning the pipes for streaming with a proposed $22 billion takeover of Roku. The merger is slated to close in the first half of 2027. Along with the executive compensation figures and other disclosures, the SEC filing revealed November 4 as the date of the company’s annual shareholder meeting. The meeting will be held virtually at 10 am. ET.
