Staffordshire Police arrested a boy, 17, and three men, two aged 18 and a 20- year-old, on suspicion of murder following Friday night’s incident. It came after they were called to reports of a ‘serious assault’ in Brookhouse Road in Meir, in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs, at around 11.45pm last night. West Midlands Ambulance Service and the Midlands Air Ambulance attended alongside police. Sadly, one of the victims, a man in his late teens, was declared dead at the scene, police said. The three others have been arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in custody and a cordon is still in place at the scene. Detective Inspector Katie Gregory, the senior investigating officer in the case, said: ‘This is a devastating time for all those affected by what has happened overnight. ‘I’d like to reassure the community that there is no wider risk to them and we are doing all we can to understand the circumstances that led to this tragic incident. ‘I would urge anyone who was in the area at around 11.30pm yesterday, who hasn’t already spoken to us, to make contact with us as part of our investigation.’ The force is urging witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage to call it on 101 or report it online by quoting incident number 1062 of 9 October.
