Forensics cops return to house where newborn baby was ‘murdered’ in Sheffield after seven people arrested

Seven people have since been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody. Cops are still working to establish the ages of some of those arrested, as officers remain at the scene today. The investigation is centred on a property in Holywell Heights, where a major police presence was put in place. Officers remained at the scene on Monday as detectives continued their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tot’s death. The baby’s cause of death remains unknown. Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Emma Knight said: “We have a dedicated team of detectives and officers hard at work to ensure justice is secured for the baby girl at the heart of this investigation. “As part of our investigation seven people have been arrested on suspicion of murder. “All of them remain in police custody at this time.
