Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his Omanian counterpart, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, have discussed the latest regional developments, including the situation in Yemen, in a phone call, a statement issued via Iranian Araghchi’s Telegram channel said. The statement added that the two ministers explored ways to achieve peace and stability in the region. The call comes amid Iran's escalating attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. In June, Oman and Iran agreed to establish “a joint working group” to negotiate the future management of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz under the provisions of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
