Fisherman rescues young men after boat sinks off Daymaniyat Islands

Muscat: Two young men who went missing after their vessel sank during a fishing trip were found safe and unharmed in the Daymaniyat Islands on Wednesday evening.Search and rescue operations were launched early in the morning, bringing together Royal Oman Police Coast Guard vessels, police aircraft, and local fishing boats in a coordinated effort to trace the missing pair. The two men were eventually spotted and picked up by a local fisherman in the Daymaniyat Islands, following hours of intensive joint search efforts between the relevant authorities and the local maritime community. Both were confirmed to be in good health.
