Celebrate the start of fall with Fall Guys Image: Square Enix Sign in to your Polygon.com account Final Fantasy 14 is no stranger to collaborations. Square Enix's MMO has been running for over a decade and, in that time, has crossed over with other Final Fantasy titles, NieR: Automata, Monster Hunter, and more. None of these holds a candle to what I find to be the strangest, but perhaps most inspired collaboration in the game: Fall Guys. Luckily, the party game's multiplayer shenanigans are returning to Eorzea for a limited time. Square Enix has announced that the Final Fantasy 14 and Fall Guys collaboration event will return beginning on Oct. 7 at 1:00 a.m. PDT. Warriors of Light will have just under three weeks to enjoy the festivities, as the event will conclude on Oct. 27 at 7:59 a.m. PDT. This will be the fifth iteration of the event, which was first held in 2023 and returned twice in 2024 and once in 2025. To take part in the collaboration, players will need to accept the quest "Just Crowning Around" from the NPC Lewena in The Gold Saucer. To do this, you have to be at least level 15 and have completed the quest "It Could Happen to You." If you've played the collaboration before, you will be able to immediately resume playing the event's special Golden Saucer games. Final Fantasy 14 x Fall Guys collaboration games and rewards Image: Square Enix Just like Fall Guys, the collaboration event is centered around participating in numerous multiplayer elimination games that resemble extreme obstacle courses. Blunderville, as the mode is called, consists of three stages, culminating in a single victor. Many of the games are exact recreations of those seen in Fall Guys. Playing Blunderville awards you Manderville Gold Saucer Fame (MGF) based on your final rank in each match. The special event currency can be exchanged for various prizes at the MGF Trader in Blunderville Square. There are a lot of rewards to choose from, but the highlights are a pink bean minion, a set of Fall Guys-themed pajamas, and a pair of crowns to designate yourself as a winner. A full list of prizes and their required MGF is available on the collaboration's special site.
