Los Angeles-based FBG Bid Co, the owner of a dozen franchised restaurant chains formerly belonging to Fat Brands officially changed its name to OHG Brands on Wednesday. OHG, which stands for “Original, Honest, Good,” acquired former FAT entities under the name FBG Bid Co. LLC for a reported $595 million in June. Round Table Pizza, Fatburger, Marble Slab Creamery, Johnny Rockets, Fazoli’s, Great American Cookies, Buffalo’s Cafe & Express, Hurricane Grill & Wings, Pretzelmaker, Native Grill & Wings, and Ponderosa and Bonanza Steakhouses are the brands in the portfolio. They make up about 1,700 locations worldwide. The name change comes after a period of considerable challenges for FAT Brands, which filed for bankruptcy in January after reporting about $1.4 billion in debt. The company has since been broken up throughout 2026.Hot Dog on a Stick was sold to Amazing Brands for $8 million, while Elevation Burger was sold to Tabco International Food Catering for $2.5 million.Twin Peaks was sold to an entity known as TWNPKS Bid Co., which has since entered into franchise agreements to expand in Texas. The company also shuttered about 50 of its Fazoli’s locations and quietly closed all its remaining Smokey Bones locations in April. The company has created a website that is largely designed to sell franchises, though OHG will have some work to do before it can sell any franchises, according to Nation’s Restaurant News, which reported that several of the chains’ franchise registrations have expired in several states where they are required.
