Around 40 firefighters are at the scene of a scrap yard fire in Thornwood affecting a large number of vehicles. Because it is a vehicle scrapyard, the fire service urged locals not to panic about explosions which they say are contained at the site. An investigation will be launched to determine the cause of the blaze.
