Visibly emotional, Ruby choked up as she told Entertainment Tonight at the premiere: “I don’t know if I can… sorry, no one’s asked yet. “That was my best friend, we spoke every day for five years. She added: “I saw her and she saw me. I just remember thinking, “Oh no”. “Then she ran up anyway and was like, “Hey, I’m Hayden. Can we talk some more? We got a lot in common. “I just laughed. She says I said, “I don’t think so”, but I think I just laughed.” Most read in TV Ruby said she and Hayden had five years of friendship, which saw them text every day and check in on each other. She explained the group had expanded, saying “there’s now 14 of us” and described these friends as her family. Ruby concluded: “Hayden, all she ever wanted was to have her story told in her way, on her terms.” Earlier this week, Ruby wrote on Threads: “Missing Hayden more than life today.” Hayden’s death sent shockwaves around the world, with tributes flowing in from family, friends, fans and fellow professionals. Among them was Cruel Intentions actress Selma Blair, who posted underneath Hayden’s last Instagram upload, which featured an image of her smiling as she cuddled up to a pal, and the caption: “Good times and good friends”. Selma wrote a series of emotional messages which read: “I love you. Don’t be gone. Don’t be gone. Please. Please.” A second read: “I love you whale tail my friend,” before she wrote: “I’m dying.
