Elden Ring fans have recently ventured back into the Lands Between to rediscover its secrets after the long-awaited release of Tarnished Edition, which finally arrived on Nintendo Switch 2 consoles on August 28, 2026. The release marked FromSoftware's acclaimed RPG's debut on Nintendo hardware, allowing players to experience its sprawling open world and punishing boss fights in a brand-new way. Tarnished Edition also included the critically acclaimed Shadow of the Erdtree expansion and a trove of DLC, including two new starting classes, additional armor sets, and new customization options for Torrent. While the release gave Nintendo fans something to celebrate, longtime Elden Ring players on other platforms weren't entirely left out, either. The additional content was also made available through the Tarnished Pack, giving returning players another reason to start a fresh adventure. Now, Bandai Namco has officially launched another exciting opportunity for fans to revisit the Lands Between in Path of the Elden Lord, available to check out now. Bandai Namco has officially kicked off Path of the Elden Lord, the third of four community questlines designed to bring Elden Ring players back to the Lands Between. The new event began on November 2 and will run through November 28, 2026, giving players nearly a full month to contribute toward several ambitious objectives. Unlike traditional quests, these challenges are community-wide, meaning players across all available platforms can work together to reach the required milestones. According to Bandai Namco's official announcement, the four objectives for Path of the Elden Lord are: Summon Warrior Jar Alexander 50,000 times. Obtain 3,000,000 Rune Arcs. Obtain 500,000 Legendary Armaments. Upgrade 100,000 Standard Spirit Ashes to +8. Successfully completing these challenges will unlock a special commemorative artwork created by artist Louis Gibiard, also known as vladinsk. Additionally, Bandai Namco has announced a special Twitch Chat Badge featuring Warrior Jar Alexander, designed by Carsondrewit. For those unfamiliar, Twitch Chat Badges are small icons displayed next to users' names in Twitch chats, allowing them to showcase special achievements or participation in events. Bandai Namco hasn't specified the exact requirements for claiming the badge. Path of the Elden Lord is actually part of a much larger celebration that Bandai Namco originally announced on August 31, featuring four consecutive monthly community events: Path of the Tarnished: September 1–28 Path of the Cardinal Sin: October 1–28 Path of the Elden Lord: November 2–28 Path of Shadows: December 1–28 Each questline features its own challenges, commemorative artwork, and exclusive Twitch Chat Badge. The final event, Path of Shadows, will focus on objectives associated with the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, including collecting Scadutree Fragments and reaching the Abyssal Woods. Players can follow progress updates and challenge reminders through the official Elden Ring Discord server, which is also hosting a separate emote contest. As for the larger franchise, Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, bundling the original game with the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. Meanwhile, the new Tarnished Pack DLC is available separately for $4.99 on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S, and Steam.
