Avinash Reddy to appear before its investigating officers on October 14 in its money laundering case linked to the 2019 murder of former Minister Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy.Mr. Avinash Reddy is Accused No. 8 in the murder case.ED officials probing the money laundering and financial transactions in the killing have questioned Yerra Gangi Reddy, Umashankar Reddy, Sunil Yadav and others accused in the murder case.It was alleged that crores of rupees were paid to the accused in the murder, and the ED is investigating the case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.The caseVivekananda Reddy, brother of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and uncle of former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, was found dead at his residence in Pulivendula in Kadapa district in March 2019, weeks before the general election. His death was first described as a heart attack. The CBI took over the investigation in 2020 after his daughter, Suneetha Narreddy, sought an independent probe, and the Supreme Court later moved the trial to Telangana.
