Students in Mr. Ryan Hall's 8th-grade English class at University Academy have embraced the "Eat This Now" column from The Pitch as a way to explore food writing. They've chosen to spotlight Wah Gwan, a popular spot on Holmes Rd., for its famous jerk chicken. This project not only allows students to practice their writing skills but also highlights the cultural significance of Caribbean-inspired cuisine in the local community. It’s an excellent example of how educational programs can intertwine with cultural appreciation and culinary exploration.
