Drew Barrymore Broke Down Crying In An Airplane Galley — Then The Flight Attendant Who Held Her Appeared On Her Show

Drew Barrymore’s show just reposted a clip where she talks about drinking heavily following her 2016 divorce. She stopped in August 2019. following her friends including Cameron Diaz confronting her. During a flight, she went into the galley crying. The flight attendant sat with her, held her while she cried and apparently took a photograph with her afterward. And in October 2023 the crewmember appeared in the studio audience of The Drew Barrymore Show and reminded her of the encounter. It was reported by People as though this just happened in a recent episode. There’s a good chance it was an American Airlines flight, though I can’t validate that specifically. I’ve seen references to it happening on American, she often seems to fly American, and she told Kaley Cuoco in February that she had joined the mile high club in the bathroom of a (different) American Airlines flight. She lives in New York and flies frequently to Los Angeles. It’s interesting she’s not a Delta girl, but sober or not she knows an inferior inflight product on that route when she experiences it. I’ve only met Barrymore one time, and knew nothing about the history of her drinking or her sobriety. Why yes, yes I do. It means from beginning to end, comprehensively and with every component included. It comes from the order of a formal nineteenth century meal that began with soup and ended after sweets with nuts. This would often be walnuts eaten with port. While the specific phrase dates to the mid-19th century there are conceptual predecessors dating to Ancient Rome (ab ovo usque ad mala, “from the egg to the apples”).
