Although I will never quite understand why the brilliant Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero became such a lightning rod for hate so quickly after its record-breaking launch, I can’t argue that the game has come a very long way since that time. Developer Spike Chunsoft was quick to address some of Sparking’s biggest issues, from a completely busted Yajirobe to unfair AI. Thanks to the recent release of the excellent Super Limit Breaking Neo DLC, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is easily the best that it’s ever been. That being said, all of those improvements have arguably made it even weirder that one of the game’s most notorious glitches had managed to go so long without being fixed, an oddity that’s finally changed. Jiren’s Transformation Sparking Zero Has Finally Been Changed No More Weird Teleporting Clothes Earlier this week, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero received a sudden and fairly general update that was said to just adjust CPU behaviour and improve overall game stability. As it turns out, though, those weren’t the only things that Spike Chunsoft changed about Sparking Zero, as fans were quick to share what is easily its best fix. As pointed out by Twitter user SLOplays and originally discovered by by_shinai, the most recent update for Sparking Zero finally fixed the transformation glitch that showed its ugly mug whenever Jiren went into Full Power mode. For those who don’t know, Jiren’s old transformation would pause on a single frame and make it look like his clothes disappeared. Considering Jiren was one of the newest Dragon Ball characters when Sparking Zero launched, it made the glitch even more of a glaring oversight. After the most recent update, though, that glitch is a thing of the past. Jiren’s new Full Power transformation now has a visual effect play as he bulks up, which basically hides the paused frame that has annoyed players for so long. It’s a simple fix that’s really more of a redirect, but it’s certainly better than what was there before. It’s a small detail in the grand scheme of things, but one that really bugged Dragon Ball fans, especially considering how important transformations are to Sparking Zero’s identity.
