Delta’s Massive Europe Push: Now 10 Nonstop Routes To This Major City [Map]

You may know by now that Delta Air Lines has finally confirmed the start of flights from Austin Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport (CDG). It'll connect a fast-growing focus city for Delta with the world's third-busiest SkyTeam hub. Launching on March 27, 2027, Delta will serve AUS-CDG daily. It'll be the first time that the airport pair will have nonstop service. It'll coexist with fellow SkyTeam member KLM from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) to AUS. It'll be the alliance's second transatlantic operation from AUS since Virgin Atlantic ended London Heathrow flights in 2024. Delta From AUS To CDG Credit: Flickr Delta and Air France are part of a transatlantic antitrust-immunized joint venture which sees those carriers, along with KLM and Virgin, operate on a metal-neutral basis. Without this very close partnership, this brand-new route would not be happening. The local demand, which is usually the bedrock of new routes, is clear. In the 12 months to April 2026, booking data shows that 47,000 round-trip passengers flew between AUS and CDG. They did not go elsewhere. Despite KLM's nonstop flights from AMS, CDG was the second-largest European market. Obviously, connections will be important to consistently fill an Airbus A330-900 with a daily frequency. This includes transferring to Delta's own services in AUS, with around 30 routes now scheduled for 2027 (and more will probably be coming). But this is, of course, particularly about transiting in CDG to destinations across Europe and South Asia in particular. Major targets include London (180,000 passengers; served by British Airways), Amsterdam (45,000; served by KLM), Rome (29,000), Dublin (27,000), Frankfurt (27,000; served by Lufthansa), Barcelona (26,000), Hyderabad (24,000; doesn't have flights from CDG), Madrid (24,000), Bengaluru (22,000), Mumbai (15,000), Athens (19,000), and so on. It is bound to make my jam-packed celebratory new routes article (see the latest edition). In that spring month, Delta's schedule submission to Cirium Diio shows that it now plans 12 to 13 daily departures from the US to CDG. This reflects what is known as of August 14, and is subject to change. The new route from AUS means that its overall frequency has jumped by 9% compared to April 2026. Delta will now have more flights to CDG than in any other April. It'll have nearly 4% more flights than the prior record, which was set in April 2024. Despite the growth, CDG will remain Delta's second-most-served European airport after AMS (16 daily flights). Ten routes to CDG will be available for the first time since 2023. In April 2027, Delta's CDG network is due to be as follows. Given the closeness of its relationship with Air France, that carrier's operations should be considered too. In the past 20 years, Cirium data shows that the carrier has ended eight CDG markets. This excludes Las Vegas, which Delta serves, usually with three round trip services, for the Consumer Electronics Show in January each year. Some of the eliminated markets were perhaps unusual for Delta. The airline no longer serves CDG from Chicago O'Hare (flown 2011-2017), Newark (2013-2018), Indianapolis (2018-2020), Philadelphia (2009-2017), Pittsburgh (2009-2018), or Raleigh/Durham to CDG (2016-2023). It has also ended fifth freedom flights from CDG to Chennai and Mumbai (both ended in 2006).
