A Delta Air Lines passenger shouted “I love myself!” while two Port Authority police officers struggled to get him off a plane at New York JFK. And he wanted everyone onboard to know how strong he was. This man used racial slurs and encouraged people to post his removal on Instagram. I shared that last month but now there’s brand new footage. Watch the additional passenger video shared by TMZ The incident happened October 22 aboard Delta flight 2342 from New York JFK to Atlanta. The aircraft was still at the gate. Port Authority police say the Brooklyn man appeared to be intoxicated. The original recording shows him being escorted through the cabin, swearing and using racial slurs. He looks toward the people filming and calls out, “Put it on Instagram!” He’d reportedly been making threats, shouting “death to America,” and making gun noises. Original passenger video shared by Shawn Wasson, October 22, 2026 A reader of this blog shared that she was seated across the aisle. It went on for a very long time and we had to move to other seats until he was taken off. The man was arrested on charges of assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing governmental administration. Delta apologized to passengers, thanked police, and reiterated its “zero tolerance for disruptive behavior.” Federal rules prohibit boarding someone who appears intoxicated. If that was apparent at the gate, he shouldn’t have been allowed to board. Getting him off before departure meant the crew didn’t have to deal with this in the air, as happened on the Breeze Airways flight where a passenger shouting racial slurs twice broke out of restraints before a diversion to Grand Junction. The boasting brings to mind the Frontier Airlines passenger who announced that his parents were worth $2 million before being duct taped to his seat. This time the passenger was more interested in his strength than his net worth.
