The Marvel Cinematic Universe's new series just confirmed an exciting connection to Deadpool & Wolverine, and it also ties the project to another MCU TV show on Disney+. Deadpool & Wolverine marked the MCU debuts of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The two are among the most popular superheroes in live-action of all time, helping make it one of the MCU's biggest movies. In fact, up until Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey surpassed it earlier this year, Deadpool & Wolverine ruled Hollywood as the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. Reynolds and Jackman are reportedly set to return in December's Avengers: Doomsday, though Marvel and the actors have not officially confirmed that. However, it seems like the MCU has already started working on its X-Men connection. We already saw that in a major way through Sadie Sink playing Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, with Marvel also announcing most of the MCU X-Men movie's cast. That said, an interesting turn of events has come from the MCU's new TV show. While the project is not about Marvel's mutants, it does feature an exciting Deadpool & Wolverine connection. Choose the movie with the higher Rotten Tomatoes score. Warning! This article contains SPOILERS for VisionQuest episodes 5 and 6.Marvel's new TV show on Disney+ is VisionQuest. The live-action series follows Paul Bettany's Vision as he wrestles with the original Vision's memories, meeting an older version of one of his sons, Tommy Maximoff, with the MCU series also bringing back James Spader as Ultron. Now, VisionQuest episodes 5 and 6 have included a Deadpool & Wolverine connection. Madripoor's MCU History Connects VisionQuest To Deadpool & Wolverine And More VisionQuest's new batch of episodes takes the action to the island of Madripoor, which is a key location in the X-Men side of Marvel Comics. If you are looking for shady dealings, exclusive information, advanced weapons, and so on, then the gritty criminal underworld of Madripoor is the place to go. The location has seen many X-Men pass through over the years, with Wolverine often being tied to it in a major way. When the character is in Madripoor, Logan usually adopts another persona, blending in as Patch, wearing an eye-patch and a white tuxedo. Madripoor did not make its MCU debut in VisionQuest. Before that, the iconic location appeared twice in the live-action franchise. The first came in 2021's The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, another MCU series on Disney+. In that show, Zemo took Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes to Madripoor as the character investigated the origins of the new Super Soldier Serum. There, they were helped by Sharon Carter, who was operating as the Power Broker, something that would only be revealed in the series finale. Recently, in 2024's Deadpool & Wolverine, Madripoor once again appeared in the MCU. The iconic X-Men comics location was only used sparingly in the Marvel movie, but in the way fans had long waited to see happen in live-action. As Reynolds' Deadpool was traveling the multiverse to find a version of Wolverine that could help Wade Wilson save his own universe, one of the realities he visited featured a version of Jackman's Wolverine dressed up as Patch in Madripoor. The mutant was gambling at a casino with Patch's signature eye-patch and white tuxedo, and Wolverine wasted no time stabbing Deadpool in the head with his claws. Now, VisionQuest brought back Madripoor as the place where Paladin set up a meeting with Vision to release Tommy in exchange for the Avenger surrendering himself. Additionally, it was in that iconic Marvel Comics location that one of the villains from 2008's Iron Man movie, Raza, finally made his MCU return, appearing with a team of mercenaries as they tried to kill Paladin and retrieve Vision. Madripoor's neon-soaked streets looked amazing again and the location's use after its brief return in Deadpool & Wolverine was fitting for Madripoor's gritty nature.
