David Lynch Accidentally Emailed John Ross, And Other Wild Pink Release Show Stories

In case you didn't already know, the new Wild Pink album is awesome. The singles for Still Coming Down were all great, but the title track? The closer? Just awesome. I got to witness it live at the Stereogum-presented show last week at Ridgewood's Cassette, where their set began with the Seinfeld theme song and concluded with the Curb Your Enthusiasm jingle. Fenne Lily was the secret opener, and the night was wonderful. There, Stereogum's release show correspondent Rachel Brown chatted with John Ross.The indie rock frontman shared release show stories, including when, the morning of the release show for 2018's Yolk In The Fur, he received an email from David Lynch, who thought he was someone else.
