The deal was signed in the presence of Naguib Sawiris, Chairman of ORA, and Mohamed Dorra, Vice Chairman of Dorra Group. Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – ORA Iraq awarded CRC Dorra the building contract for the first phase of Madinat Al Ward, paving the way for large-scale development in Iraq. The deal was signed in the presence of Naguib Sawiris, Chairman of ORA, and Mohamed Dorra, Vice Chairman of Dorra Group, as the project progressed from ground preparation to primary construction. CRC Dorra will begin construction after POWERCHINA has completed the earthworks and ground preparation for Phase One, according to ORA Iraq. The deal adds another important regional contractor to the development. CRC Dorra is the contracting arm of Dorra Group, an engineering and construction business founded in 1943 that operates in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Iraq. Its work includes residential, commercial, office, and hotel developments, as well as design-build projects. ORA said that the selection was based on CRC Dorra’s construction expertise and capacity to perform large-scale projects. The commencement of construction marks a key milestone for Madinat Al Ward as ORA expands its investment and development efforts in the Iraqi market. The company said that it continues to be dedicated to building the project as an integrated community, with the new contract advancing Phase One from site preparation to physical construction.
