Commercial LPG prices hiked by ₹10 per cylinder

Allen Egenuse Reversing course after two months of decline, prices of the commercial variant of liquified petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder were hiked by approximately ₹10 for every cylinder across the country on Tuesday (September 1, 2026) while that of the domestic variant remained unchanged.The latest hike brings the price of the 19-kg cylinder in Delhi to ₹2,747.5 per cylinder.Prices spurred by a similar ₹9.5 per cylinder to ₹2,701 per cylinder in Mumbai.Among the metros, Kolkata observed a steeper hike. Prices of the commercial cylinder rose by ₹12 to ₹2,884 per cylinder.In Chennai, prices rose by ₹10.5 for every cylinder to ₹2,916.5 per cylinder.The latest hike follows two recurrent tranches wherein prices had cumulatively declined by about ₹380 per cylinder across two tranches.This was after prices had spiralled upwards by about ₹1,345 per cylinder across four tranches at the peak of the West Asia crisis.
