Combined X-Men and Fantastic Four Team Revealed By Marvel, All Members and Powers

Split into two teams with both mutant and FF members, here's what you need to know about this new alliance. In recent comics, the villainous Chairman has developed an 'X-Virus' - a viral illness which kills the majority of humans who catch it, while transforming the survivors into mutants. A mutant supremacist, the Chairman and his group 3K intend to begin the spread in Philadelphia. While Cyclops' Alaskan X-Men engage 3K and their significant forces, Reed Richards' science team are working to negate the virus with a shocking project. It all kicks off in DNX #1 from Jed MacKay, Federico Vicentini, David Curiel and Clayton Cowles. X-Men/Fantastic Four Science Team While 3K need to be defeated, the X-Virus is the true threat to life on Earth. As a result, the X-Men have reached out to the Fantastic Four with a bizarre request: help restore Magneto's powers. In recent comics, Magneto has been suffering from a mysterious condition, with Beast realizing that a message has been encoded in his DNA - one which can seemingly be used to eradicate the X-Virus. So far, the message has had the unfortunate side-effect of lessening Magneto's Omega-level powers. Marvel Comics Unfortunately for the X-Men, the Fantastic Four aren't exactly eager to restore the powers of a godlike terrorist. The combined X-Men/FF science team are: Leader: Mister Fantastic, aka Reed Richards The world's smartest man, Reed Richards has an elastic body immune to most forms of harm. The X-Men have turned to Reed to try and stop the X-Virus, but DNX #1 sees him struggling with the moral implications of restoring Magneto's powers. Fantastic Four's tie-in issues to DNX will see them lose their memories due to an unknown cause (possibly 3K villain Psychovore), with Reed tasked with not just healing Magneto, but rediscovering his own identity and powers. The Beast, aka Hank McCoy A recent clone of the corrupted original Beast (who is now known as the Chairman), Hank McCoy possesses an animalistic physique with enhanced agility, strength and senses. He's also a scientific and medical genius who Reed has turned to in the past for scientific insight. With the Fantastic Four losing their memories, Fantastic Four #18 (Ryan North, Vincenzo Carratù) will see Beast trying to simultaneously restore the hero team and save Magneto. Benjamin Liu A recent mutant whose powers were awakened by 3K's experiments, Ben Liu has powerful reality-warping abilities, previously manifesting a gigantic alien armada. He's been sequestered to the science team due to his ability to perceive reality on multiple levels, providing vital data. His presence is notable given Magneto's attempts to recruit him as a personal protégé. The Invisible Woman, aka Susan Storm The field leader of the Fantastic Four and a genius biologist, Invisible Woman is the one who persuades Reed Richards to restore Magneto. Not only does she see the necessity of opposing 3K, but recent comics suggest that Invisible Woman's power level is now so high, she's the one person who could actually stop Magneto if he loses control. X-Men/Fantastic Four Combat Team While the science team attempt to heal Magneto and stop the X-Virus, Cyclops leads the remaining heroes into battle against 3K's ruling council and a team of villainous mutants who have co-opted the 'X-Men' name. Thankfully, the X-Men have faced the 3K X-Men before, and Cyclops has developed failsafe plans to defeat them. If Cyclops can take out the rival team, he'll be able to lead his strike force aboard 3K's UFO-esque base and enter a final face-off with the Chairman. Leader: Cyclops, aka Scott Summers Over the last couple of years, Cyclops has been acting as the leader of the militant Alaskan X-Men, seeing it as his role to protect the world's mutants and foster a diverse vision of mutantkind's potential future. As well as being a tactical genius, he can fire intense optic blasts from his eyes. Cyclops has been pushed to the edge by recent events, suffering panic attacks in private. Going up against his old friend the Chairman will test him, with DNX #5 promising that the pivotal battle between Scott and the original Hank McCoy will be "to the death." The Thing, aka Benjamin Grimm The Fantastic Four's physical heavyweight, Ben and Johnny have been dispatched by Sue to help Cyclops' team take on 3K's X-Men and safeguard innocent lives. Not only will he lose his memories with his team, but Fantastic Four #18 (Ryan North, Vincenzo Carratù) will also see him physically tested, with Marvel teasing he'll be "dunked in acid." The Human Torch, aka Johnny Storm Able to generate flame and fly, the Human Torch recently gained the ability to create lifelike 'fire constructs' including his doppelgänger Flame-O - a copy of the Torch that seems to act on his subconscious directions. Johnny Storm is going to have a hard time of it in DNX - Fantastic Four #17 (Ryan North, Vincenzo Carratù) will see his amnesiac team turn against him after they wake up covered in mysterious burns. Psylocke, aka Kwannon A powerful telepath and telekinetic who can manifest psionic weaponry, Psylocke is a trained ninja with extensive tactical experience. X-Men #40 (Jed MacKay, Tony S. Daniel, Lucas Werneck) will see Psylocke embark on a mysterious solo mission tied to DNX, potentially taking on young mutant Myriad, who was recently recruited by 3K. Magik, aka Illyana Rasputina Able to open teleportation portals, Magik is a gifted sorcerer thanks to her experiences in the Hellish realm of Limbo. She wields the Soulsword - a part of her soul forged into a shapeshifting blade that is particularly adept at shattering magic. Given Magik's extensive powers, it's likely she's key to Cyclops' failsafe tactics against some of 3K's biggest figures. Juggernaut, aka Cain Marko Superstrong and possessing 'magic momentum' that makes him impossible to stop once in motion, Juggernaut is a non-mutant who has committed his life to the mutant cause. Seeing Magik as a sister, Juggernaut is a vital powerhouse for the X-Men, but likely to have a chip on his shoulder when it comes to the Fantastic Four, who have imprisoned him in the past. Kid Omega, aka Quentin Quire An Omega-level telepath and gifted telekinetic, Quentin Quire has been tapped to take on 3K member Cassandra Nova. Their psychic battle is depicted in X-Men #37 (Jed MacKay, Netho Diaz), as two of Marvel's most powerful and most brutal psychics clash with no room for mercy. Temper, aka Idie Okonkwo As a young mutant, Idie considered herself an abomination, but has since come to accept her mutant identity. She is able to create both ice and fire by shunting heat into different places. Usually, she's limited by the given temperature of her surroundings, but her powers could get a major upgrade working alongside the Human Torch. Animalia, aka Jennifer Starkey Animalia is a victim of 3K whose mutant powers were awakened in adulthood by the Chairman's experimentation. She has since developed a relationship with the clone Beast. Animalia is new to her powers, but is currently able to take on various animal traits, including sprouting a tail, wings, claws and gills. In these forms, she appears to demonstrate increased aggression. The Villains: 3K and the 3K X-Men As mentioned previously, the big villain of DNX is the Chairman - the leader of a mutant supremacist group who intend to forcibly supplant humanity as Earth's dominant species. The leading council are: The Chairman - The original Beast, aka Hank McCoy, a scientific genius and animalistic mutant Cassandra Nova - Charles Xavier's psychic sister, acting as mentor to the mutant youth Myriad Astra - A teleporting mutant and scientific genius who uses a range of unique gadgets Joseph - A clone of Magneto, totally loyal to Astra Wyre - A vicious mercenary charged with training 3K's X-Men Each member of 3K is a major threat who has opposed the X-Men solo in the past. Even just to reach them, Cyclops will need to go through their ground troops, the 3K X-Men. Timebomb - A speedster vying for leadership of the team Constellation - A former secret agent who wields cosmic energy Galatea - A superstrong mutant who can transform into stone Juice - A liquid being who can control his own density Psychovore - A telepath who can seemingly consume the thoughts/memories of others The 3K X-Men were previously led by gravity-warper Schwarzschild, who was abandoned by the group for unknown reasons and taken in by the X-Men. How he'll play into DNX is so far unknown, though X-Men #39 (Jed MacKay, Tony S. Daniel, Netho Diaz) will depict an attack on their base, manned by a skeleton team which may include the former villain (as well as Psylocke's roguish boyfriend John Greycrow.) Marvel's sprawling DNX event has united the X-Men and Fantastic Four like never before, with the future of the human race on the line and the promise that one of Marvel's original mutant heroes won't make it out alive.
