A confrontation began while people were waiting in line outside the club, according to Providence Police Maj. David Lapatin.The altercation continued in a nearby Wendy’s parking lot, which is where Antoine and Macean were stabbed, authorities said. Antoine suffered stab wounds to his chest and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.Macean suffered injuries to his head and neck and was also transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was treated for injuries that were considered non-life-threatening. An investigation into the incident remains ongoing, police said. Antoine, a native of Boston, was a 5-foot-10, 180-pound running back at UMass Dartmouth.
