Theo Wargo/Getty Images A 39-second clip shared to X is turning into a massive headache for the "I've Had It" podcast. At least nine companies have pulled their sponsorships from the popular progressive-leaning culture and politics podcast after a clip of hosts Jennifer Welch and Angie "Pumps" Sullivan went viral on X last week. The clip, which has nearly 6 million views and 18,000 likes, showed the pair laughing at an X post referencing Charlie Kirk, the right-wing political activist who was assassinated last year. The clip drew criticism from some X users, who called for a boycott of the podcast. Companies began distancing themselves from the show soon after, including online retailer Chewy. We do not sponsor or support the “I’ve Had It” podcast. We unequivocally condemn violence in all forms. The comments made by the hosts do not reflect Chewy’s values or what we stand for as a company.— Chewy (@Chewy) November 7, 2026 "We do not sponsor or support the "I've Had It" podcast. We unequivocally condemn violence in all forms," the company said in an X post on Saturday. "The comments made by the hosts do not reflect Chewy's values or what we stand for as a company."Chewy CEO Sumit Singh doubled down on the company's decision in his own X post. Meanwhile, Cash App, Zenni, Casper, and Honeylove also cut ties."Honeylove has ended our partnership with the I've Had It podcast. Violence of any kind is never acceptable, and those comments do not reflect our values," Honeylove said in an X post on Sunday. The "I've Had It" hosts posted an apology to the podcast's Instagram account on Saturday."It was an insensitive joke, and we should not have laughed. We regret it, and we apologize," the podcast said. "Whatever our political differences, there is nothing funny about gun violence." The podcast said it donated to Everytown for Gun Safety, the largest gun-violence-prevention organization in the United States. This isn't the first time a host has landed in hot water over comments made about Kirk. ABC, owned by the Walt Disney Company, suspended and later reinstated Jimmy Kimmel's late-night talk show over his remarks about Kirk. Some employees from major companies like Office Depot and Nasdaq also disciplined employees who made negative remarks about Kirk online. The "Pivot with Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway" podcast, which discusses business, tech, and politics, has also been targeted by calls for an advertising boycott after Galloway criticized Elon Musk last week. During the first stop on the Pivot Tour 2026, Galloway, an academic who frequently writes about the tech industry, called Musk a "traitor to the West" and referenced the Rosenbergs. Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were convicted of conspiracy to commit espionage during the Cold War and were executed by the federal government. The remarks drew the ire of Jason Calacanis of the "All-In" podcast and others, including University of California San Diego professor Brian Keating. The CEO of Boom Supersonic, an American aerospace company, wrote on X that Galloway was an investor in Boom and criticized the academic's comments."I don't mind disagreements but calling for an execution of a non-criminal (worse, an actual hero!) is a step too far," CEO Blake Scholl wrote on X on Friday. "Working to arrange a buy-out of his shares."
