She’s a Columbia University professor, a New York Times best-selling author, vice chair of the Clinton Foundation, and a mom of three.And today, Chelsea Clinton added a third World Marathon Major to her resume—she finished the Chicago Marathon in 3:47:55, an average pace of 8:42 per mile.On a warm and muggy day, Clinton and a friend, Jen Koss, ran relatively even splits, finishing the first half of the race in 1:53:10 and the second in 1:54:45. As usual, her famous parents—former president Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, the former Secretary of State—greeted her at the finish line.The former first daughter, 46, told Runner’s World previously that she ran a bit with her dad in junior high and high school, then started training more consistently while a student at Stanford University.But she didn’t complete her first 26.2-mile race until after she turned 40. After following a Runner’s World training plan, she ran 3:59:09 in her hometown race, New York City, in 2021.
