Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Players Have Made Even More Major Improvements Published Oct 23, 2026, 9:13 AM EDT George is the Lead News Editor for TheGamer, and has been working in the industry since 2021 after graduating from the University of South Wales with a bachelor's degree in Journalism. He has also previously written for RPG Site, WhatCulture, and PlayStation Lifestyle. George is an expert on platformers, action games, and fighters, but tends to play as many releases as possible. This hands-on experience lets him dive into gaming communities and follow the latest trends. Some of the games George has extensively covered first-hand include Dead Rising, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, Assassin's Creed Shadows, and Ninja Gaiden 4. Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse players have made even more awesome mods that make some big improvements to the game, from a minimap to a complete music replacement. Belmont’s Curse stands as one of my favourite games of 2026, but as I made clear last week when I reported on the first wave of helpful mods, there are some ways that it could be improved. It’s still a fantastic game that gave me everything I wanted from a new Castlevania, but there are some edges to sand down. This hit me like a truck when I saw the community-made mods for an improved fast-travel system, a custom camera that isn’t incredibly zoomed out, and the ability to quick save from anywhere, but the latest series of mods are even more impressive. Again, they’re enough to make me want to replay on PC to give them a try. Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Has Mods That Add A Minimap, XP Bar, And More If You Hate The Soundtrack, You’re In Luck While I did note that Belmont’s Curse had some great modding potential last week, I didn’t expect to be checking back in on what the community has made so soon. That changed when Twitter user nSENPOU shared a video highlighting a bunch of the most recent ones, which are even cooler than last week. The new standout mod of the bunch on Nexus Mods is kkyleeb21’s aptly named Minimap mod, which adds a minimap to the top right corner of the screen at all times. It uses the same data as the full map and even keeps the fog of war, so it’s not a cheat and just keeps you from hopping in and out of the pause menu so much. A similarly helpful mod comes from tclarkin95, who added an experience points bar that can be seen at all times under Rose’s health and mana. Again, it’s not a complete change around of the game itself, but cuts down on some busy work of having to check the pause menu. Honestly, I don’t know why this wasn’t here to begin with. From what I can see, these mods weren’t videcoded, which makes them even more worth celebrating. The final notable mod is one that’ll be hit or miss depending on your preferences, as TheDravend put together a complete soundtrack swap that replaces Belmont’s Curse’s divisive OST with the legendary tracks from Symphony of the Night. I personally like the music of Belmont’s Curse well enough, but I know this will be a hot one for some. Alongside those three, there are also mods for New Game Plus, even more soundtrack replacements, auto-dialogue skipping, and even a weapon wheel for easier switching. Again, there’s clearly a lot for fans to work with, and I’m personally having a blast seeing Belmont’s Curse get so many quality-of-life tweaks.
