Car crashes through front room of house in Tasmania's north

Police are investigating after a car crashed into the front room of a house in Tasmania's north.About 2.40pm, emergency services responded to reports that a white Honda had crashed into a house on Malcombe Street, Longford, south of Launceston, today.Police said two people who were in the car were taken to the Launceston General Hospital for medical treatment."Their injuries are not reported to be serious and a blood sample will be obtained by both occupants as per normal procedure," police said.The house and front fence sustained significant damage in the incident.No one inside the house was physically injured, police said.Anyone with information in relation to the crash is asked to contact Tasmania Police on 131 444.
