Business owner denies theft charges, granted bail

A Christ Church business owner who denied stealing $2 000 and a vehicle valued at $10 000 has been granted $4 000 bail. Barry Antonio Luke of Kingsland Gardens pleaded not guilty in the No. 1 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court before Acting Chief Magistrate Douglas Frederick to charges of stealing $2 000 belonging to Juanita Walker-Clement and a vehicle valued at $10 000 belonging to her between October 1, 2025, and April 23. Luke, who was represented by attorney Simon Clarke, was released on $4 000 bail and told to return to the No. 1 District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on December 3. (JB)
