September 26, 2026 — 2:15pmThe Bruce Highway has been closed, and significant delays are expected after a crash between two semi-trailer trucks, which has left one person trapped.Several people could be seen out of their cars on the highway during the delay. Marissa Calligeros Emergency services, including a crew onboard a helicopter, are responding to the crash on the Sunshine Coast at Banya, in the southbound lanes, where one person is understood to be trapped.Police are on the scene working to divert traffic.Emergency services were working to free one person trapped in the crash.
