The actress made her Venice Film Festival debut just a matter of hours before the Golden Globes x Aman Beverly Hills cocktail party, and she’s set to receive the Rising Star Award today. Despite Nicola’s acting career spanning two decades she’s not being awarded her prize by the Venice Film Festival directly. She’s instead being presented with it by The Kineo Awards, which don’t share direct ties with the festival. Speaking about Nicola’s success, a spokesperson for The Kineo Awards said: “In recent years, the American actress, screenwriter and producer has attracted growing international attention through increasingly multifaceted roles, both in front of and behind the camera.” Most read in Showbiz Nicola’s resume includes roles in The Last Airbender, Transformers: Age of Extinction, Bates Motel, Holidate, Welcome to Chippendales and The Beauty.
