Published October 16, 2026 05:10 AM The Broncos’ offense was stunningly bad for most of Thursday night’s game. They beat the Seahawks anyway.Over Denver’s final 10 possessions — two in the second quarter, three in the third quarter, four in the fourth quarter and one in overtime — the Broncos’ offense totaled 32 yards. Seven of those 10 possessions ended in punts, two ended with the ends of the first and second halves, and the one in overtime began in field goal range and ended with the game-winning field goal.Broncos quarterback Bo Nix could not move the offense at all: He threw the ball 27 times for 107 yards, got sacked twice for a loss of 13 yards, and had four rushes for two yards. Add all that up, and in 33 plays, Nix totaled 96 yards. That’s 2.9 yards per play. Usually, you can’t win in the NFL when your quarterback is playing like that.Fortunately for the Broncos, Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold also played a losing game. Darnold’s overtime interception did something Nix couldn’t: Put the Broncos in position to win.
