Brits Skupski, Hewett clinch respective US Open doubles, wheelchair titles

There was double success for Britain at the US Open on Saturday, with Alfie Hewett regaining his wheelchair singles title and Neal Skupski finally claiming the men’s doubles crown.Emotional Hewett burst into tears after beating Tokito Oda 6-0 7-6 (7-5) to deny the 20-year-old Japanese star a calendar Grand Slam. The 28-year-old, who was beaten by Oda in the finals of the French Open and Wimbledon this year, said: "It's taken lot of hard work, a lot of soul-searching at times, a lot of reflecting. "The Wimbledon pumping was a tough one to swallow.
