• On 14 and 26 June 2026, Ukraine struck the Novomoskovsk Azot Chemical Plant in Russia with uncrewed aerial systems. The plant is approximately 350km from the Russia-Ukraine border. Analysis of commercial satellite imagery from 16 June 2026 and 30 June 2026 identified damage to the plant, which included the forced draft coolers, the pipeline, a storage building and support infrastructure. Furthermore, damage to the transformer yard of the adjacent power plant, 2.5 km east of the chemical plant’s primary infrastructure, was also identified. It is highly likely that the damage disrupted production at the plant. • The Novomoskovsk Azot Chemical Plant is one of Russia’s largest chemical plants, manufacturing chemicals such as nitric acid and fertilizer products. Ukraine has highly likely conducted more and deeper strikes against Russian military industrial targets in the last six months than at any previous period of the war.
