Britain’s best takeaway spots are crowned by Just Eat – which comes out top in YOUR area?

BRITAIN’S top takeaway spots have been crowned by Just Eat. One takeaway in each region of the UK, including the East Midlands, Scotland and Wales, was crowned the best in its area after a lengthy voting process. Over 100,000 votes were cast to crown the best takeaway spots across the nation. Leigh Phillipson, commercial director at Just Eat, said: “For twenty years, one of the things our customers have loved most about Just Eat is discovering brilliant local takeaways, whether that’s the best kebab in town, their go-to fish and chips, or a new favourite around the corner. “The Just Eat Awards are all about celebrating those local heroes and shining a spotlight on the amazing food and service they offer. “We hope by offering 20% off, in our 20th year, even more customers will try these outstanding restaurants and support local favourites.“ In the North West, Marvel Kitchen, Manchester scooped the top prize. The restaurant serves a range of traditional Nigerian food, such as Jolloff Rice and fish stew. Most read in Money Meanwhile in South East, Gourmet Burger & Fries was crowned the best in the region. In the past, diners have described this as a “fantastic place” for a” proper burger” and another said it was the “best burger” they had in their life. Elsewhere, Boo in Leicester was named the best takeaway in the East-idlands. It has received a number of glowing reviews, with many describing the food as “delicious” and “fresh”.
